Day 01: Fly to Lukla ( 40 mins) and trek to Phakding (2610m)
Fly to Lukla (2800m), a small airstrip high above the Dudh Kosi valley. After sometime at Lukla, your trek begins by descending to Chaunrikharka and heading up the Dudh Kosi valley of Phakding (2610m), Phakding is a nice place to stop for acclimatization.
Day 02: Phakding to Namchebazzar (3440m)
The trail follows Dudh Koshi river. After Jorsale the trail makes steep winding path to Namche bazar. Namchebazar is a commercial center of Khumbu region. It is an important stop for trekkers and mountaineers on way to base camps of Everest and many other mountains in that area. It is home of Sherpa ethnic group. Their traditional occupation used to be yak herders and traders. Now due to change in geopolitical condition they have changed their occupation to tourism. They are well known as trekking and mountaineering guides and widely used as high altitude porters by expedition teams. Their religion is Buddhist.
Day 03: Namche to Syangboche, enjoy great view of Mt Everest, and back to Namche
After breakfast make gradual ascent to the airstrip at Syangboche. It is about two hours easy walk. Visit to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic view of Mt. Everest and Amadamlam is recommended. You may visit Khunde and Khumjung villages beyond Syangboche to know the Sherpa way of life, many mountaineers and climber were born in this village, retrace tail via Everest View Hotel. Return to Namche Bazaar for overnight stay.
Day 04: Namche to Lukla (2840m)
Your final day trekking follows the Dudh Kosi back down to Lukla. The last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the trek staffs. It is a long walk of 8 hours.
Day 05: Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Fly to Kathmandu by early morning flight, transfer to Hotel.
